What is the difference between goodness and kindness? Are goodness and kindness the same thing?
The answer is there are differences between goodness and kindness. When applied the terms are not always mutually exclusively. Let’s first explore goodness.
Goodness, good deeds and doing good are not one in the same. Goodness is intrinsic. Goodness reflects ones moral character. Goodness is understanding the difference between right and wrong and willingly choosing to do right. It has been said that there is only One who is good. However, one can be abound in goodness and mercy. Having goodness means one is just, gracious, meek, shows humility, forgiving, faithful, virtuous, tender hearted, peace seeking, gentle, in good conscience, not self serving, mindful and respectful.
